These envelopes are not ordinary 80gsm or 110gsm envelopes. They are crafted with 300gsm cards, so they are stiffer, thicker, and more protective than standard envelopes.
The envelope is designed to make soft or flat products close Tight in the envelope. So you can meet the under 20mm thickness target easier, while other soft normal paper envelopes or poly mailing bags will just ‘inflate’ with a soft item inside. The B4 size is 255 x 355mm, which is within Auspost Large Letter requirements of 260mm x 360mm. If you can keep them thin enough and light enough, they can be counted as a large letter by Auspost.
